The start-up visa program aims to attract innovative entrepreneurs to build their start-ups in Canada. In order to qualify for immigration to Canada under the start-up visa program, an entrepreneur must get support from a designated Venture Capital (VC) or Angel investor fund, or a Start-up incubator program. There are also requirements regarding the minimum ownership stake that must be held in the start-up, as well as minimum language requirements and funds to support themselves while getting settled in Canada.
